Finding Hidden Lines in Remote Wilderness [ Overlanding, Climbing & Splitboarding Adventure Film ]

The remote Great Basin region of the Western United States. A region with a landscape that is marked by high peaks surrounded by desert scrub. Not a typical area to envision backcountry splitboarding and mountaineering. However, in each of these lowlands lies an endless amount of off-roading that leads to truly remote trailheads devoid of any crowds or permit quotas with endless lines to test out backcountry splitboarding travel and downhill splitboarding speed. No Permits? No Crowds? This is the exact type of adventure 3Elements seeks out and documents and what better background for a splitboard movie / film. This particular desert climb of a four thousand foot route from the desert floor to the top of the east face of the range is an interesting line that would prove both challenging and rewarding. With an off road journey up an unknown road, 2 creek crossings, a winter trek no less with 1000 feet in the desert before we could break out our splitboarding skins, a mandatory overnight campout and an arduous and dangerous climb to reach the summit, the barrier to entry for this line is high. Yet even with the challenges of the line present, sometimes every detail can come together to make exploring these regions on our splitboards interesting and fun regardless of the conditions.
