Elbow mobility is essential for carrying out day-to-day activities and participating in sports. Lack of elbow mobility can cause discomfort, pain, and even injuries. Therefore, it is crucial to incorporate elbow AROM exercises into your workout routine. AROM stands for Active Range of Motion, which means moving your elbow joint without any external assistance. These exercises can improve your elbow mobility, increase blood circulation, and strengthen the muscles around the joint.
One of the most effective elbows AROM exercises is the bicep curl. Hold a weight or resistance band in your hand and slowly lift it towards your shoulder while keeping your elbow close to your body. Lower the weight back down and repeat the movement for 10-15 repetitions. This exercise targets the biceps muscle and also engages the muscles in the forearm, enhancing elbow mobility.

Another great elbow AROM exercise is the tricep extension. Hold a weight or resistance band in your hand and lift your arm overhead. Bend your elbow so that your hand is behind your head, then extend your elbow to lift the weight back up towards the ceiling. Lower the weight back down and repeat the movement for 10-15 repetitions. This exercise targets the triceps muscle and can help improve elbow mobility.
Lastly, wrist flexion and extension exercises can also help improve elbow mobility. Hold a weight or resistance band in your hand and rest your forearm on a flat surface. Slowly flex and extend your wrist, moving the weight up and down. Repeat for 10-15 repetitions. This exercise targets the muscles in the forearm, which are crucial for elbow mobility. Incorporating these exercises into your workout routine can help improve your elbow mobility, reduce pain and discomfort, and enhance your overall quality of life.
