Yamaha Virago Carb Cleaning (PART 1) - 1984 Virago XV1000

Disassembly, inspection and cleaning (ultrasonic cleaning in Part 2) of the two Hitachi HSC40 carburettors on my 1984 Yamaha Virago 1000.

Time has come that my bike just wouldn't run properly. I've found so many small problems with the ignition (spark plugs, coils/wires and caps), fuel filter and so much more I'm surprised it ran at all. Lately, it's been running so rich it would foul the plugs but mostly the rear (#1) cylinder, backfire and quit. The carbs needed to be rebuilt and the process is similar to all Viragos whether they are Hitachi or Mikuni carbs. I'll be installing the K&L carb rebuild kits in Part 2.
