In 1492 the Jews were expelled from Spain along with the Muslims. Upon resettling in many lands across the seas, from North Africa, the Balkans, Turkey, Greece, Italy and America to present-day in Israel, they carried with them their heritage, their language (a dialect of Spanish called Ladino or Judezmo) and their love of music.
