Medicare for Beginners Video Series

The Central Ohio Area Agency on Aging has created this series of short videos to introduce you to five Medicare topics. Our Medicare educational resources are online at
[http://www.coaaa.org/medicare] and include monthly Medicare For Beginners workshops, individual consultations to understand information and navigate decisions, and other guides.

Medicare Part A:    • Medicare Part A 2023  
This short video provides an overview of Medicare Part A, the part of Medicare that pays expenses when a person has been admitted into a hospital.

Medicare Part B:    • Medicare Part B 2023  
This short video provides an overview of Medicare Part B, the part of Medicare that provides coverage for doctor services, many medical services provided outside a hospital or on an outpatient basis at a hospital, preventive care, and durable medical equipment.

This short video provides an overview of Medicare Advantage (MA) plans (also known as Medicare Part C). Medicare Advantage plans are an alternative to Medicare, are offered by private companies who contract with Medicare, and include hospital, medical and prescription coverage all under one plan.
