Urad-Dal/Mash-Ki-Dal Laddu
Ingredients:
Urad/Mash-ki-Dal-500 g
Cheeni/Sugar-350 g
Ghee-150 g
Rice/Chawal -1 tsp
Badam/Almonds- 20 no.
Cardamom/Ilaichi-3 No.
Cashew nuts/Kaju- 50 g
Procedure: Add Urad Dal in a heavy bottom pan and dry roast it on a low flame till the dal turn light brown color while string continuously. It approximately takes 15-20 minutes to reach the desired color.
Allow it to cool down at room temperature. When the roasted dal cools down grind it to fine sand like texture and take it into a separate container. then grind the sugar and transfer. Add cardamom powder in to the same mixture.
To a pan add ghee fry the cashew nuts. To the mixture add fried nuts and mix well. Now add hot ghee and mix well. Start making laddus when it is worm as shown. Now it is ready to eat.
