La cartiera risale al 1908 ed originariamente produceva la carta paglia. E' rimasta in funzione fino alla metà degli anni '80 sotto la gestione della Cartindustria f.lli ****, poi nel 1985 è stata chiusa a causa di una difficile situazione di mercato.

Nel 1996 lo stabilimento riapre con il nuovo nome di Cartiera di ****** srl, gli impianti sono stati ammodernati e la produzione è passata dalla carta paglia alla carta da imballaggio riciclata.

Nel 2002-03 la società viene messa in liquidazione e dopo un cambio di proprietà viene rinominata Cartindustria ****** srl.

I nuovi proprietari il 1 ottobre 2005 fanno cessare ogni attività nella fabbrica lasciando 25 dipendenti senza stipendio, il motivo ufficiale di questa decisione è "per ristrutturazione", ma poco dopo l' azienda fallisce.

Nel 2006 l'azienda viene rilanciata con il nome di ***** Paper srl, ma nel 2009 viene colpita da una grave crisi e nell' aprile 2010 chiude definitivamente per fallimento. In quest'ultimo periodo nella cartiera vi lavoravano 35 persone.

The paper mill dates back to 1908 and originally produced straw paper. It remained in operation until the mid-1980s under the management of Cartindustria f.lli ****, then in 1985 it was closed due to a difficult market situation.

In 1996 the plant reopened with the new name of Cartiera di ****** srl, the plants were modernized and the production passed from straw paper to recycled wrapping paper.

In 2002-03 the company was put into liquidation and after a change of ownership it was renamed Cartindustria ****** srl.

The new owners on 1 October 2005 cease all activities in the factory leaving 25 employees without salary, the official reason for this decision is "for restructuring", but shortly after the company goes bankrupt.

In 2006 the company was relaunched under the name of ***** Paper srl, but in 2009 it was hit by a serious crisis and in April 2010 it closed definitively due to bankruptcy. In the latter period, 35 people worked in the paper mill.
