starting out in 2012, the game grumps were true innovators in the let’s play space - so it’s no wonder that when the duo broke up, there was outrage across the internet. about a year in, founding member Jon Jafari made a swift, poorly explained exit from the show. but the weird thing is that someone predicted it - or, at least, we think they predicted it...

deadgrumps was a cryptic channel which posted its first video on April 23rd, 2013, two months before Jon’s departure. they talked vaguely about a death and some unexplained grump ‘secret’. they used grump footage, various creepypastas, eerie scenes of nature, and made a run of strange videos in the months prior to Jon's departure on the 25th of june 2013 - but who was behind it all? join me as I dig this old internet legend out from it's grave to face theorisation once again.
