London Gatwick Airport Train & Plane Spotting | Incl: Black 5 45212 | 16th April 2025

A very busy Wednesday in the South of England as we do both train and plane spotting at London Gatwick Airport in Sussex.

We start off at Alton Station in Hampshire by taking a SWR train to Clapham Junction, we then change trains with a Gatwick Express train direct to Gatwick Airport Station to do some train spotting, this is where we will also see a steam charter train "The Sussex Belle" hauled by a Stanier Black 5 locomotive no. 45212 which is an amazing site.

We then head to the multi storey car park to do some plane spotting at London Gatwick Airport as they operate runway 26L in action.

And then we head back to Gatwick Airport Station to catch a Southern train back to Clapham Junction.
