Silksong vs Game Dev - Cogwork Core, Bilewater & Phantom [Live Analysis/2nd Playthrough]

Freezeless parries and cloak reactivation should work now!! I fixed the bugs in my tiny mod, I think. WE'LL SEE!! The input tracker will now track my xbox controller, comparing it against the previous data from the playstation controller! I'm so curious to see whether the attack histogram data will be different

I'll be trying to figure out what made Silksong so frustrating during my first playthrough from a game design perspective, and how it became one of my favorite games of all time

I'm trying to gather my thoughts on it all, so I'm playing it again! I will have a lot opinions, but I of course don't speak for all game developers! This will just be my perspective on what I think went right or wrong with the game

My current theory is that Silksong's difficulty is fine, but it has minor things that cause significant frustration, making the difficulty feel a lot worse than it could be. But maybe I'm wrong!

I'm doing a second playthrough ahead of potentially making a review/critique/feedback video of Silksong, if I end up having interesting things to say! Also my first (blind!) playthrough was the mist route so I'm trying the last judge route this time!

My first playthrough was off-stream and took about 90 hours for 100% true ending. Prior to that I played Hollow Knight for the first time, at about 60 hours playtime, and got to radiance, but didn't beat it. Before that I played and got true ending in Nine Sols, which was absolutely wonderful! Otherwise I don't have any other metroidvania experience
