In March 2024 I took a trip up into the Far North of Scotland (beyond Inverness) to ride all the North Highland Lines. I hadn't been on the Far North Line in over a decade, and I'd never ridden the entire Kyle Line.
Day 1 was the trip from Glasgow up to Thurso. Day 2 I took a trip down to Forsinard to see the RSPB reserve there. There's also a clip of the train passing Altnabreac station, which at the time was closed due to a legal dispute. Day 3 I bussed across to Wick just so I could ride the train back down to Inverness along the full length of the Far North Line. Day 4 was a day trip out to Achnasheen and Kyle of Lochalsh, walking across the Skye Bridge to Kyleakin. On Day 5 I just headed home, but in retrospect I realise I didn't take any footage that day!
