Schmincke - Updating my watercolour palette

A while back I bought a 12 half pan set of Schmincke watercolour in a tin meant for 24. I already had some half-pans over the years to add to it to make up the set to 24. However, Schmincke's special edition granulating colours reeled me back in to getting more with their Forest and Tundra colours. I had to put these in a separate "other" palette. This gnawed at me, though (not really but it's an excuse) so I whipped out the metal holder, added some magnets to the bottom of the half-pans and ordered more colours from Jackson's (they were having a sale after all!). You can fit 39 half-pans in these metal palettes meant for 24 if you remove the insert. I'm loving having everything all together and the new additions. It's also making me use this palette after ignoring it for a bit. It doesn't deserve that!
