A glorious day at the Citadel but marred early on by extensive delays and cancellations caused by a points failure further south.
I had intended to film the Coastal Express from the air at Harrington - but that plan fell victim to a cancelled Northern train.
However - two charters involving 47 709 The Lord Provost, E3137 Les Ross, Black Five 44871 as well as a nuclear flask and the Railhead Treatment Train - the dirtiest train on the railway - not a bad day after all.
