The first miracle arrived in early April of the season, when Boston trailed by five with two down in the 8th, only to comeback and take the lead. The second came on August 5th against the Yankees, when Boston was facing Aroldis Chapman at Fenway. With two on and down to there last strike, a walk, single, bad throw and drop lead to a tie. The Sox completed the comeback in the 10th. The final miracle came in early September against the Braves in Atlanta. The Sox trailed 7-2 in the 8th, but scored 5 to tie it. The braves pulled ahead in the bottom of the inning. With two out and one on, Brandon Phillips homered, giving Boston a 9-8 lead in the 9th, which held for a win.
