We hear you and understand your frustration and concerns about pollution in Yorkshire's seas and coastlines. It's clear we should have acted sooner, and for that, we’re really sorry. We're now fully focused on making things right, with a series of investments aimed at improving Yorkshire’s bathing water, including new initiatives in Whitby, which we talk about in the latest episode of The Science Behind.

We know there is more to do on our coast to improve water quality and we’ll continue to work with North Yorkshire Council and the Environment Agency to identify opportunities to bring forward investment as quickly as possible.
