Every once in a while, you discover a restaurant that is truly special. You enjoy a meal that you know you will never ever forget. This place was certainly one of those meals. I am certain that, in 10, 15, or even 30 years, I will still think about this incredible meal, and yearn to go back to experience it again.
When I first heard about eating raw Rainbow Trout in the mountains of Korea, I felt instantly scared and nervous. But I am glad I decided to try this incredible dish.
The trout are raised in a fish farm next to the 맛집, and their habitats are expertly maintained to ensure it is safe for raw consumption.
The flavor was quite new to me. Clean, yet subtly rich. The owner was a kind man who gave us an extra portion of fish for free. And the fall weather was absolutely stunning, as we ate by a giant window and watched the trout swim between the falling leaves.
