My best ever vegan burger recipe is juicy, bursting with flavour and perfect for summer feast. What more can you ask for.
Full recipe:
Lentils
1 medium onion
2 tbs vegetable oil (I used cold pressed rapeseed)
2 tbs chopped garlic
1/2 tsp garam masala
2 cups lentils
1 tsp sea salt
1/2 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp ground pepper
Mushrooms
1 medium onion
2 tbs vegetable oil
1tbs chopped garlic
350 grams (12 OZ) mushrooms ( I used portobello and white)
1/2 tsp sea salt
1/2 tsp dry thyme
1/4 tsp ground cumin
1/4 tsp ground pepper
Burgers
1 cup cooked lentils
1/2 cup shreded beetroot
1/2 cup black beans
1 & 3/4 cup cooked mushrooms
2 tbs white miso paste
2 tbs soy sauce
1 tbs balsamic vinegar
1 tbs nutritional yeast
2 tbs tomato puree
1 tbs barley malt or maple syrup
1/2 tsp celery salt
1/2 tsp ground pepper
1/2 tsp dry parsley
1/2 tsp ground corriander
3 tbs vegetable oil (I used cold pressed rapeseed)
2 & 3/4 - 3 cups of Vital Wheat Gluten (depends on water content of your ingrediences)
Stock
Add enough water to a pot to cover your burgers
2 cubes of vegetable bouillon
1/8 cup (30ml) soy sauce
Serve with your favourite buns, sauces and salads.
