Stéphane Rolland is a renowned French fashion designer celebrated for his expertise in haute couture. He began drawing at the age of 4 and developed a passion for fashion, influenced by masters like Balenciaga and Brancusi.

At just 21, he became the youngest artistic director at Balenciaga, and by 24, he launched his own clothing line and collaborated with Pierre Balmain.

By 30, he earned the title of official couturier for Jean Louis Scherrer, also dressing for cinema. In 2007, he opened his own haute couture house, creating unique pieces sculpted from precious materials, which are worn by celebrities around the world.

The Haute Couture Été 2025 event, held on January 28, 2025, at Salle Pleyel, explores the artistic legacies of Joséphine Baker and Constantin Brancusi, emphasising their shared commitment to freedom of expression.

Baker, an influential artist and humanist, celebrated liberation through her dance and music, while Brancusi, a pioneer of abstract sculpture, revealed the beauty of primary forms.

The collection reflects this union, featuring strong silhouettes and luxurious materials like gazar, satin, and organza, predominantly in black and white with gold and crystal accents.

Notable pieces include a reimagined tuxedo, a white tunic with golden vine embroidery, and draped dresses that celebrate movement and grace.

Baker's legacy of universal brotherhood is highlighted through her "Rainbow Tribe," a multiracial family she created, advocating for tolerance and peace.

Additionally, the event supported the Maison des Adolescents (MDA), which offers vital resources for youth, promoting mental health and well-being through various workshops led by Stéphane Rolland, aimed at inspiring and empowering young participants.

The fashion show also served as a fundraising initiative, with proceeds directed towards youth support programs, showcasing the transformative power of art and social responsibility in the fashion industry.
