This video begins with a moment we’ll never forget, Bernardo becoming a U.S. citizen, and ends at an airport gate with everything we own at our feet. Somewhere in between, we sold our car, said goodbye to people we love, celebrated one last Christmas, and closed the door on the life we built in Oregon.

We don’t have a home anymore.

This isn’t a highlight reel. It’s the quiet parts... the exhaustion, the doubt, the relief, and the moment it finally sinks in that there’s no going back.

Following our 'steps': how did we get here?
