Moving on to his last engagement in the 46th Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. joins his fellow Leaders in the inaugural ASEAN-Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)-China Summit at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, Malaysia on May 27, 2025.

A new Summit hosted by the ASEAN, it underscores the Regional Bloc’s proactive approach to global engagement, demonstrates its commitment to fostering economic leverage while maintaining balanced and mutually beneficial relations with Partners, enhances strategic autonomy, expands investment opportunities and achieves greater stability, and solidifies its position as a key player in the evolving global economic order.

With the theme, ‘Synergizing Economic Opportunities towards Shared Prosperity’, the Summit pushes for trilateral cooperation between and among three (3) of the world’s most dynamic regions — Southeast Asia, the Gulf countries and China — on different areas that include clean energy and green economy, manufacturing industry and supply chain integration, infrastructure development and investment, digital economy and e-commerce, finance and capital flows, and private sector collaboration.
