A fantastic little walk up Fleetwith Pike in the Lake District National Park.
After a steep climb up Fleetwith Pike you are rewarded with fantastic views down towards Buttermere, Crummock Water and along the Honister Pass. The climb is steep but it zig zags all the way up so it is not as bad as it looks from the bottom.
Some light scrambling may be necessary in certain places so care must be taken in wet conditions.
This video also takes a look at Honister Mine and two Bothies along the route (Dubs Hut and Warnscale)
Distance is just under 8km and should take around four to five hours to complete in good conditions.
Parking at Gatesgarth Farm
(£4.00 for 24 hours at time of filming 18-09-2020)
Take care descending the track down Warnscale as it is loose underfoot in certain areas.
Hope you like the video.
Take Care
Mike
