The All Access Comedy Show II (with ASL & Audio Description)

All Access Comedy is a stand-up special like no other, with comedians from the disability community coming together to celebrate their unique outlook on life for a packed audience of all abilities delivered in a venue with technology making it inclusive for all.

Hosted by D.J. Demers, this one-hour special features stand-up comedy from Joze Piranian, Michael McCreary, Dan Barra-Berger and Tina Friml, all members of the disability community.

Filmed at the Spatz Theatre as part of the Halifax Comedy Fest, this free event featured live ASL Interpretation, CART real-time captioning technology, increased wheelchair-accessible seating capacity and Integrated Described Video.

Twenty-six-year-old Michael McCreary is an autistic comedian, actor, author and TEDX speaker who’s been performing stand-up comedy since age 13. In the past 8 years, he has performed stand-up shows and keynote addresses in every province in Canada – plus the Yukon - and across the United States.

Michael has also written the book “Funny, You Don’t Look Autistic” (Annick Press), hosted the Autism Ontario video “Autism: See the Potential”, has consulted on the TV show “Ransom” to ensure the authenticity of a character with autism and has been featured on The National and on CBC Radio’s “Laugh Out Loud”!

Tina is a New York-based comedian, Originally from Burlington, Vermont. Having merged into standup comedy following an upbringing in local theater and a decade as a songwriter, she was named a 2019 JUST FOR LAUGHS New Face and has appeared on THE DREW BARRYMORE SHOW'S 'Bananamores', 2019's NEW YORK COMEDY FESTIVAL, 2019's LIMESTONE COMEDY FESTIVAL, and the NBC Comedy Spotlight Series as part of 2018's WOMEN IN COMEDY FESTIVAL.
