Final Fantasy X-2 - Eternity: Memory of Lightwaves (Harp Solo)

I don't know which part of Final Fantasy X-2 was more memorable: hearing this beautiful, cascading theme as you open the menu, or hearing Leblanc's climax screams as the game forces you to massage her. FFX-2 was a.............moment.

I hope you enjoy this slowed down, chill version of "Eternity: Memory of Lightwaves" from FFX-2! I originally envisioned playing this as a very literal take of the song (basically note-for-note per the piano part, close to the original tempo, as a harp duet or trio so I could hit all of the notes......). So I recorded a demo of it and it was just...........fine. I dunno. Then one crisp, quiet winter night as I was walking my dog, picking up his steaming piles of crap melting into the snow, it came to me that I needed to be less literal and turn this into a mellow solo. It's difficult for me to articulate, but I felt that it just suited the harp better. Playing it this way felt almost....spiritual. Like the same comforting feeling you get when you're under a warm, weighted blanket, or when you realize that the Zanarkand monkey reproduction mission is just optional.

Tell me in the comments below, which dressphere was your favorite? Mine was the Dark Knight, because it's basically broken. I am not above having two Dark Knights spam Darkness over and and over while one Alchemist just continuously heals with mega-potions. Sure, it makes for some boring gameplay, but the odds of losing are slim. Added bonus: the Dark Knight dressphere has the honor of being one of the ONLY dresspheres where all three characters, INCLUDING Paine, look cool. Seriously, the designers hated Paine. Don't get me started on her Songstress camel toe.

P.S. - I found what I thought was the perfect dress for this song, since it's golden and literally looks like lightwaves. An unintended side effect of that, however, was the camera going wacko and constantly fluctuating color temperatures. I'm crap at video editing and had no idea how to fix it so uhhh...it is what it is. I'd like to think my sound quality compensates for my crap video quality. Oh, poopie.......
