Create 3D objects and text in Xara Designer Pro X | Xara Extrude Tutorial

Adding a 3D effect to objects in Xara is easy. You can take any vector object in Xara and extrude it using the 3D tool. With the Xara 3D tool you can control the object's positioning or orientation in 3D space, you can change three lights direction and colour, you can control the extrusion parameters and the aspect of the edges.

The 3D tool in Xara has been around for many years, back from when it was a stand-alone program called "Xara 3D". This tool has been incorporated in to Xara Designer Pro X and is very easy to use.

3D effects like these could be a little outdated or out of fashion but if you don't overdo it, you can achieve some interesting things to make your objects pop off the page.
