On today's podcast, Dan Novak and Ashley Thompson host the show. Dan tells listeners what they will hear. First, Faith Pirlo and Dan has a report on concerns that pregnant women in rural areas face greater risks giving birth because there are fewer maternity wards in hospitals in these areas. One answer is to have birth center staffed by midwives.
Then Bryan Lynn delivers the science report about a drug compound that might prevent bone loss in space. Researchers, who tested the drug on mice, say the drug shows promise in permitting longer space missions. Then, Bryan talks with Dan about how the drug might be used and also about current long space missions by astronauts. After that, Jill Robbins and Andrew Smith present the Lesson of the Day based on Let's Learn English. Jill and Andrew talk about differences between people, from appearance to socio-economic, and ways to talk about them. Then Dan and Ashley sign off.
