I Snuck Into The WORST Neighborhood in Atlanta, Georgia

Holy crap! This part of Atlanta is the worst area I've seen in a long time!

For this video, I went into the worst possible Atlanta neighborhood I could find. Now this wasn’t a normal video where I just loc up into some hood and drive around and try and go unnoticed. No way boy. This is Atlanta. This is where the big boys play. So I got up as early as possible, left downtown and drove the less than two miles into an area on Atlanta’s northside that’s well known for gang banging, shootings, stabbings and everything else you can think of. It was Friday, January 8, 2021 and it was as early in the morning as I could go and still see.

The area I went to is here, located just inside the beltline, only a short drive from downtown. Now, Atlanta has been gentrifying fast, and this is one of a few pockets that still remain this bad so close to downtown. Odds are one day, these homes won’t even be here at all. So I was lucky to see it. The areas I’m about to drive through are called Vine City and Washington Park.

Of course, crime in Atlanta is atrocious in pockets like this. Overall, though, outside of certain areas, Atlanta isn’t really all THAT bad overall for crime. When they knocked all the housing projects down and cleaned the place up in 90s to make room for the Olympics, things got a lot better. While in the 80s, much of this city was out of control, today Atlanta only ranks 50th in the country for per capita crime. Good for you Atlanta.

But not good for you the people who dwell in this part of town I’m driving through right now. Here’s the most dangerous section of Atlanta, at dawn, before they all got up.
