RECIPE:
INGREDIENTS:
½ cup cashews
½ cup water
3 Tablespoons nutritional yeast
¼ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon miso
1 ½ teaspoon apple cider vinegar
¼ teaspoon onion powder
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
2 1/2 tablespoons agar powder
Instructions:
1) Add cashews with ½ cup water in high speed blender, and before blending let soak for 5 min. After 5 min, add nutritional yeast, salt, miso, apple cider vinegar, onion powder, and garlic powder. Blend, and set aside.
2) Make the thickener for the cheese by boiling 2/3 cup water on med/high heat. Once boiling, add agar powder, lower heat to low/medium, and mix with whisk until mixture thickens.
3) Pour thickened agar mixture into blender and blend for 30 seconds.
4) Place parchment paper into a small round bowl, and press to crease paper. Scoop mixture into bowl and smoothen the top with back of spoon.
5) Place in refrigerator overnight. Enjoy the next day!
