About: Dr. Namratha Kandula is Professor of Medicine and Preventive Medicine at Northwestern University. She co-leads the NIH-funded MASALA study, the largest long-term study of heart health in U.S. South Asians. She also founded SAHELI, a community-engaged research initiative to improve South Asian cardiovascular health. Dr. Kandula is the recipient of an NIH K24 award to mentor researchers in community-engaged implementation science focused on reducing health disparities.
