FULL Venice Gondola Ride: Is it worth 100 euro? Ride with us and judge for yourself :)

Looking to ride a gondola in Venice that is calm, quiet, and relaxing? Are you wondering if goingh the pricey gondola ride is worth it? If so, we hope you find our video informative :)

We visited Venice in the summer of 2023. Upon our visit, we were not so interested in the gondola ride because it looked touristy and crowded. However, we found a very good gondola spot that was away from the crowd so we gave it a try.

We are so happy that we took our chance! The gondola ride turned out to be the highlight of our Venice trip. Without it, our wonderful Venice trip wouldn't be the same.

You can probably see it in our video how much we enjoyed. Our gondola ride was calm, peaceful, and just perfect. We now think it is the “once-in-a-lifetime” experience that you wouldn't want to miss if you are visiting Venice!

As you can see in our video, the gondolier who guided us was very friendly and informative, so if you’re lucky, you will be guided from this amazing gondolier through the serene canals.

We chose to go during the evening hours (mid-July) instead of during the day. We did pay extra for the evening ride (past 7pm) but it was definitely worth it. The sunset hours were romantic and it was not hot so we were able to enjoy the ride even more.

Even though most of our gondola journey was in the quiet canals of which we liked, we made it to the Grand Canal in the end and got to see the Rialto Bridge.

As you can see in our video, the gondola rides leaving from San Marco square seemed to be super crowded, and there was a gondola traffic jam that we could see while walking in the area.

For a calm and relaxing ride, we would recommend you to avoid the San Marco square area if that’s what you would enjoy.
