As the web accelerates toward Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC), many discussions focus on key exchange and signature upgrades in TLS. This session takes a metrics-driven technical lens to argue and accelerate PQC migration and a catalyst for a necessary transformation of the WebPKI HTTPS/TLS stack with QUIC. We will present a comprehensive analysis of the performance, latency, and security implications of PQC along with recent and upcoming changes to WebPKI in the context of QUIC and HTTP/3, including: Latency Benchmarks: Comparing TLS 1.3 over TCP vs QUIC, 0-RTT and session resumption and security posture shifts. Early results from hybrid PQC handshakes (e.g., X25519 + Kyber) over QUIC, with handshake size, CPU & memory footprint,Impact of short-lived certificates and ACME automation on revocation, incident response, and operational risk.
