LIVE: Janey Godley’s hearse travels through Edinburgh ahead of her funeral

Janey Godley is set to say her final goodbye to ''the city she loved" today.

The Scots star will be accompanied by a 100-strong female choir and best pal Shirley Doig on a "final tour" of Edinburgh.

Janey passed away surrounded by loved ones at the Princess of Wales Hospice in Glasgow on November 2 following a battle with ovarian cancer.

Last night (Thursday) Janey's daughter Ashley Storrie shared an update with fans, reminding them "everyone is welcome" as the late comic's hearse makes its way along the Royal Mile today and through the streets of the capital for one last time.

Her hearse will travel along Lawnmarket down the Royal Mile towards St Giles Cathedral, then along Cockburn Street, Market Street and back to Glasgow, before her funeral on Saturday.
