Today we speak about reds! (Go Reds!) Continuing our week of painting our tools from life while we reflect upon the colors that make up our palette, today we concentrate on the Red hue! From Vermilion to Cadmium (cinnabar vs cadmium, pick your poison!) from Carmine to Alizarin, we speak about the wonderful range of red hues that flows from opaque red-oranges to transparent red-violets. We also speak about the value of understanding our sketchbook as the most valuable of places for an artist. Reds!!!
