I have started to build a soprano ukulele while waiting for lacquer to dry on several guitars. This uke will have a reclaimed Douglas fir top, mahogany neck, rosewood fretboard and Bois de Rose for the back and sides. The construction incorporates a Spanish Heel design, identical to that of a fine classical guitar.
This first video introduces the project and shows how I cut the slots for the sides into the neck block.
