🧂 Ingredients :(each cookies 30g)
All-purpose flour =200 g (1½ cups)
Instant yeast= 1 tsp (3 g)
Sugar =2 tbsp (24 g)
Salt ½ tsp
Cardamom powder 1/4 tsp (optional)
Warm water =120 ml (½ cup)
Oil=2 tbsp (26 g)
🔪 Method
1️⃣ Mix Wet Ingredients
In a mixing bowl, add warm milk, sugar, and yeast.
Stir well for a few seconds — no need to rest or activate.
2️⃣ Make Dough
Add maida , salt and
Cardamom powder
Pour in oil
Mix and knead (8-10 mins) gently into a soft, smooth dough
Dough should be soft but not sticky.
3️⃣ Shape the Cookies(30g each)
Divide the dough into equal pieces.
Roll each into a long stick and slightly curve both ends (like bakery toast shape).
Arrange them on a baking tray.
Cover and rest for 30 minutes or until slightly doubled in size.
4️⃣ Bake (Low & Slow)
Preheat OTG at 130°C (both rods on).
Bake for 40 minutes or until golden and firm.
For extra crunch, bake 5 more minutes.
5️⃣ Cool Completely
Allow to cool fully — they’ll turn crisp and light as they cool.
💡Tips
Always bake at low temperature for perfect drying and even color.
Use ghee for rich Indian bakery aroma .
Store only after complete cooling to maintain crunchiness.
These stay fresh up to 2 weeks in an airtight jar.
