Food, Airstreams + Wine - OH MY! (Ep.45)

The time has come to head home.
We hit Ensenada for some of its famous street food. Maybe it was the city vibes, the fact that we weren't all that hungry or what... but we weren't as wow'd as we thought we'd be. Still good, but We both agree some of the food we ad in the middle of nowhere was the best we had. Maybe next time we will hit some different spots and try some other carts that deem popular.

Out next spot wasn't planed and was a pretty cool surprise: Valle de Guadalupe (Wine Country). What a fun spot and if you are into wine tasting, wineries and even storing grapes now and again, a lot if the wineries have festivals in the late summer and fall just for your stomping pleasure.

Lasty and sadly we cross the boarder in Tecate which was quick and painless aside fro the very cranky Boarder agent who seems to hate everyone. Cheer up Buddy - hope you find your dad.

Who are we?
We are an Adventure travel and Overland couple.

What do we do?
We travel long distances in our 4x4 Sprinter van to find remote trails and off-grid camp sites with no crowds. We choose our trails or create our own routes to find the secret spots and hidden gems that are off the beaten path.

Why do we do it?
We love the independence of it. We love the end goal of getting someplace new and undiscovered. We love the journey. It can be exciting and even scary at times not knowing what a dirt road unfolds for a van to tackle.
What we love most is traveling with our Dog Carlos; a Swiss Shepherd. He’s a goof.

What is Adventure Travel?
It’s a type of tourism involving exploration with a certain degree frisk (real or perceived) usually including physical activity, and cultural exchange, or engagement with nature. Activities like backpacking, mountain biking, diving, mountaineering, skiing/snowboarding and surfing.

What is Overlanding?
It’s a form of self-reliant vehicle based adventure travel to remote destinations, where the journey itself is the primary focus, often involving extended camping and exploration of diverse terrains.
