Lynn Anderson, one of Country Music’s most beautiful Flowers of Love, has constantly bloomed into full stardom. Musically, Lynn can sing ‘em all, up tempo to smooth ballads with the class and style that sets her far above the average country singer and into the realm of super singer.

I’m sure you’ve heard the name Lynn Anderson before reading this because Lynn has had the honor of going number 1 in the country sharts as well as going to number 1 in the national pop charts. Being on eof her many fans, I’m sure you’ve already purchased this album and rather than trying to sell you on buying it for its many hours of entertainment and listening pleasure I’d like to tell you a little about Lynn Anderson. Working for Record World, which by the way is a music trade news weekly, I’ve been able to watch Lynn’s career very closely. In fact the first time I met Lynn she was busy handwriting letters to disk jockeys thanking them for playing her first release. A tiresome chorse that only dedicated artists undertake because there’s many disc jockeys that must be written to across the country. I called it a chore; Lynn went at it as though it was a pleasure. A few months later she moved from California (Sacramento) to Nashville. While in California she worked for a radio station. After coming to Nashville she went to work for Slim Williamson at Chart Records, for whom she recorded. She continued to work hard looking for material, writing disc jockeys, distributors and anybody who could help her in her career.

Speaking of Flower of Love, I remember after Lynn had her first date with writer/producer Glenn Sutton, she received a dozen red roses on her desk the next morning. She found her perfect mate and later that year they were married. Incidently she is now produced by her husband. In this same year Lynn became a regular on the Lawrence Welk TV Show, which was possibly one of the biggest turning points in her carrer, as this major exposure bolstered her record sales tremendously. She also toured with the Welk Road Show. You might find it interesting that Lynn and Lawrence Welk both come from North Dakota. Her increasing popularity coupled with the problems of commuting from Nashville to Hollywood for tapings led to her decision to leave the regular status on the Welk Show and only do guest shots.
Watch this gal, she is just beginning to put the Flowers of Success into her bright bouquet.
