Largest Timber Structure In The World! - Noah's Ark Encounter | RV Sidetrip with Mike and Jennifer

Just off I-75, half way between Cincinnati, Ohio and Lexington, KY, is an attraction called "The Ark Encounter." Last year, it attracted over 1 million visitors.

It is huge - a full-size Noah’s Ark, built according to the dimensions given in the Bible. Spanning 510 feet long, 85 feet wide, and 51 feet high, it is in it’s own right a modern engineering marvel that amazes visitors young and old.

It is, in fact, the largest timber frame structure in the world, built from standing dead timber, in part by skilled Amish craftsmen. Inside are three decks of crammed with exhibits aimed at helping visitors experience what life may have been like for Noah and his family.

The exhibit is decidedly evangelical Christian in tone. But even if you are not a believer, we think you’ll find it very interesting.
