NAMM 2020 Amazing Guitars.

Come along as I walk the Anaheim Convention center to see some of the amazing guitars featured at the North American Music Merchants show, known as WInter NAMM 2020!

I wanted to show some really unique guitar builds that you may not have seen in elsewhere. You know... the cool stuff that luthiers keep under wraps until you get to NAMM. Additionally, I've added clips of guitars that are amazing to me due to their design, back story or other significance to the world of luthiery (that's guitar building!).

There is no narration, just the familiar sounds of the NAMM show in the background. The NAMM sound police was out in full force in 2020, keeping booth volume levels in check, FYI.

1. Brian May Guitars (BMG) Red Special
2. Washburn - In addition to their perennially popular N4 Nuno Bettercourt models, Washburn introduced 2 new Swamp Ash guitars at the show.
3.Giulio Negrini Guitars. The spectacular finish on this Italian poplar guitar build caught my eye. Also, impossible to miss the intricate animal themed fretboard inlay work.
4. Noah Guitars - Matter Interplays. This metal on wood build was more of an art piece than a player's guitar. Very distinctive, nonetheless.
5.Malinoski Guitars - Peter's color scheme on this build was a unique addition to the show.
6.OD Guitars - Based out of Israel, Omer Deutsch takes a methodical engineer-like approach to tonewood choices and guitar design. Meticulous luthierie!
7.Lava Drops Guitars - Located in Lithuania, these guitar designs feature interesting curves and ergonomic shapes which made me stop in my tracks in the Boutique Guitar Showcase.
8.Fender Custom Shop - I had to show some of Fender's new(-ish) Acoustosonic line. I really like this concept. Spectacular work is everywhere in the FCS booth. Many special builds are here. Sadly, I did not get video of any of by favorite Fender Precision Bass guitar instruments. However, I have to point out Fender Master Builder Ron Thorn's Korina La Paloma guitar build featuring Brazilian Rosewood. It's a crazy example of lightweight African White Limba (Korina) polished with a nature finish. Bells and whistles not needed!
