Sunday the 13th October 2024 seen the start of train operations from the new Belfast Grand Central station a massive moment of Railway history in Northern Ireland.
The 8:05 am service to Dublin was the First service to leave & the 8:30am from Portadown was the first service to arravie. 9004 & 206 formed the first service out & 4012 formed the first service in.
All services for Bangor Larne Londonderry Portadown/Newry & Enterprise services will start/terminate here.
There is plans for an hourly Enterprise service & the station is due to have an Enterprise lounge.
The Station has 8 Railway platforms double than what GVS had the station is a massive improvement over the old Great Victoria Street.
I like the Moderness design & overall all about the station including the size of it.
The Station is set to be the largest Integrated Transport Hub on the Island of Ireland.
It's Fantastic to see Grand Central open to Rail Services.
