Pacific National has been solely responsible for the haulage of steel around Australia for Bluescope and Liberty OneSteel for over a decade. Soon however the Bluescope contract will be handed to Qube Logistics in the eastern states and SCT Logistics into South Australia and Western Australia meaning three different operators will haul steel across the country.
This video features a mixture of Pacific National Steel Trains some of which are in question if they will be around with the changes of contract. These trains are some of the heaviest, unique and most mixed trains of all in Australia and are seen all around the state of South Australia's during 2021 crossing landscapes of all types.
