There are few foods more satisfying to both the stomach and the wallet than something like this "Peanut Butter Mixed Noodles" here for lunch today. We're in Yangshuo, Guilin, and in Southern China its the NOODLE that reigns supreme. Welcome to another day exploring cool and new local foods around China, thank you for taking time to hang out with us here!
Truly, there are many wonderful (and expensive) things to be found in Yangshuo, the Beer Fish being the most famous of the traditional Chinese menu items... but we are on a one-month long trip, and its also important to sometimes pay attention to a budget :) In my opinion though, meals like a "delicious lunch at the bus station" can easily match a more fancy meal in terms of memories, in terms of happiness, and I will never forget the simple delights a huge bowl of noodles (that goes for less then US1$) can offer.
