Chilli cultivation is a good vegetable farming business. Chilli, also known as chilli pepper is a spicy fruit used in cuisine preparations. It is commonly added as an ingredient in foods to make the preparation spicy. Its origins are traced to Mexico and it is used worldwide both as an ingredient in food preparations and medicines. As per the latest statistics, India tops the world in chilli production followed by China. Indian chillies especially the ones grown in of Andhra Pradesh are known for their pungency and color. Some of the big-sized chillies are called bell peppers and are used as a vegetable.
People are using chillies in multiple ways like green chilli, fruit chilli and dry chilli. Among these fruit chilli is more profitable for Telugu states farmers from Jan onwards. It has a great demand in the market from January to March for the usage of Pickle.
According to the Market demand Mr Koteswara Rao, a Krishna District farmer has to cultivate Chilli in one acre of land every year. As per the demand for chillies, He is able to sell Green chilli, Fruit chilli and dry chilli but He is earning more profit from fruit chilli .i.e 1.25lakhs/acre by his own marketing. పండు మిర్చి అమ్మకమే నా ప్రధాన ఆదాయం. మిరప సాగులో ఆదర్శ రైతు
కృష్ణా జిల్లా, ఆగిరపల్లి మండలం, వట్టిగుడిపాడు గ్రామానికి చెందిన యలమర్తి కోటేశ్వర రావు మిరప సాగులో వినూత్న పంథాలో ముందడుగు వేస్తూ ఆర్థికంగా మంచి ఫలితాలు సాధిస్తున్నారు. 7 ఎకరాల్లో కూరగాయ పంటలు పండిస్తున్న ఈయనకు స్వంత భూమి 2 ఎకరాలు వుంది. మిగతా 5 ఎకరాల్లో కౌలు వ్యవసాయం చేస్తున్నారు. ఒకే పంటపై ఆధారపడకుండా 4, 5 రకాల కూరగాయలను సాగుచేస్తారు. ప్రతి ఏటా ఎకరం భూమిలో మిరప పండిస్తారు. 341 రకాన్ని సాగుచేస్తున్న ఈయన, దీన్ని ప్రధానంగా పండు మిరపగా అమ్మి మంచి ఆదాయం గడిస్తున్నారు. నవంబరు 1 న మిరపను నాటిన ఈయన, డిసెంబరు వరకు చెట్టు పెరుగుదలకు వీలుగా పచ్చిమిర్చిని కోసి మార్కెట్ చేస్తున్నారు. జనవరి నుండి ఏప్రెల్ వరకు ఎకరాకు 70 క్వింటాళ్ల పండు మిరపను విక్రయిస్తున్నారు. రైతు బజారులో స్వయంగా విక్రయించటం వల్ల కిలో పండు మిరపకు 50 రూపాయల ధర లభిస్తోంది. చివరగా మిగిలిపోయిన పంటను మాత్రమే ఎండు మిరప కోసం వదులుతారు. విజయవాడ కేదారేశ్వర పేటలోని రైతు బజార్ ను తన కూరగాయ ఉత్పత్తుల అమ్మకానికి ప్రధాన కేంద్ర బిందువుగా మార్చుకున్నారు. ఇప్పుడు ఈయన అమ్ముతున్న కూరగాయలన్నీ, ఈయన చేలో పండినవే !. ఈ విధమైన సాగుతో మిరప సాగులో ఏటా ఎకరాకు 1.5 నుండి 2 లక్షల రూపాయలకు తగ్గకుండా నికర లాభం గడిస్తున్నారు. సొంతంగా మార్కెటింగ్ చేసుకునే రైతుకు, విజయం ఎప్పుడు వెన్నంటే వుంటుందని, గత 15 ఏళ్లుగా పండు మిర్చిని అమ్మటం వల్ల మార్కెట్ లో తనకు ప్రత్యేక గుర్తింపు వుందని రైతు చెబుతున్నారు. మిరప సాగులో ఈ రైతు విజయగాథను ఈ స్టోరీలో తెలుసుకుందాం.
