Located on the fairly busy B2132 within the settlement of Yapton just to the East of Barnham. Like Ford Station and level crossing, this level crossing is located on a very busy section of the West Coastway Line. A total of three different routes and lines merge into one on this section between Ford and Barnham. This is one of the newer level crossings on the West Coastway Line in terms of equipment as all equipment dates back to the start of 2019 following a renewal from a half barrier level crossing with halogen wigwags for safety reasons, which meant a speed restriction was lifted for this section of the line.
