Day 11 of our NC500 adventure starts as we leave our cabin in Garve, greeted by wild deer and stags, with woodpeckers feeding right on the balcony — an incredible way to begin the day.
Our first destination is Corrieshalloch Gorge, one of the most spectacular gorges in the UK. Unfortunately, the suspension bridge was closed for repairs, but we still managed to explore the surrounding area and take in some of the nearby waterfalls.
From there, we set off along the A832, which has been a fantastic road to drive so far, heading to Gruinard Beach, just off the main road. After that, we make a sharp right turn onto a single-track, bumpy road leading us to the remote and beautiful Mellon Udrigle Beach. A quick U-turn sends us back the same way, where we come across a couple of Highland cows along the track.
We continue along the A832, passing through Tournaig and Poolewe, before arriving at Firemore Beach, with stunning views across Loch Ewe. Back on the A832 for our final destination of the day, we reach Gairloch, where we’re treated to a beautiful sunset over Loch Gairloch.
To finish the day, we head back to Ullapool to see the famous fishing creel Christmas tree and give the car a well-earned wash after covering 1,500 miles on this unforgettable trip.
Thanks for watching, and we’ll see you on the next one 🚗☕
