This peaceful spot in Belgium was once one of the most contested areas of the First World War.
In this video, I take a relaxed walk around Hooge, visiting three key WWI sites: the Hooge Museum, the Hooge Crater with nearby trench remains, and Hooge Military Cemetery.
The video shows how the landscape still reflects trench and mining warfare, while also looking at how the area is remembered today. This is a casual visit rather than a detailed documentary, offering a quiet look at history where it happened.
