Citizen TV has obtained exclusive footage showing how some local leaders in Baragoi, Samburu have secretly been meeting with suspected criminals and cattle rustlers believed to have been behind the theft of over 500 head of cattle and the ambush on security officers in the area in which over 40 policemen were killed. These secret meetings were allegedly being held to convince the rustlers to return the stolen cattle. This, even as the Government is firmly in control of the security situation in the area. Meanwhile thousands continued to flee from their homes ahead of the expected military operation. Evelyn Wambui is in Samburu and brings us this exclusive report.
