📋 Ingredients:
Meatloaf
• 2–3 lbs Ground Turkey
• 1½ cups shredded carrots
• 1 cup crushed saltines (about 22 crackers)
• ½ cup sour cream
• ½ cup diced onion
• 4 garlic cloves, chopped
• 1 tsp: salt, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp pepper
Mushroom Gravy
• 8–12 oz mushrooms, sautéed
• 2 tbsp butter or EVOO
• 2 tbsp flour
• ½ cup sour cream
• 2 cups broth (vegetable or chicken)
• Season to taste
Full Instructions:
Turkey Meatloaf with Mushroom Gravy
Ingredients:
Meatloaf
2 lbs. Ground Turkey or 3 Ibs. for more
1-1/2 Cups shredded carrots
1 Cup coarsely crushed saltine crackers, about 22
½ Cup sour cream
½ Cup diced onion
4 Garlic cloves finely chopped
1 Teaspoon salt, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning
½ Teaspoon pepper or more to your liking-
Combine all ingredients above and mix well. Spray a 9x13x3" pan with cooking spray and or EVOO to prevent sticking. Place meat in pan and form into an oblong oval shape.
Bake at 350 degrees about 1 hour and 30 minutes or less depending on your oven. Let stand for 10 to 15 minutes. While resting make the Gravy, Slice and serve with Mashed potatoes, Gravy and Veggies.
Mushroom Sauce:
2 Cups Vegetable or chicken broth. I use Better than Bouillon
8 to 12 ounces of mushrooms, more if you like. Saute'd
½ Cup sour cream
2 Tablespoon flour
2 Tablespoon butter or EVOO
Add 2 tablespoon of butter to the pan drippings, add 2 tablespoons of flour and cook for 1 minute, this is called a Roux. add ½ cup sour cream and mix together, slowly add broth while whisking, this will thicken as it cooks, add mushrooms. Sauté for 3 to 4 minutes, heat to boiling then reduce heat to low. If too thick add water to thin.
Season to taste with salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning
