In this video, we will design and assemble 'Spherical Geneva Drive' in SolidWorks. We will do a motion study (motion analysis) of the Spherical Geneva Mechanism. We will be using 'Concentric mates' and 'Coincident Mates' for the motion analysis of the drive along with the Rotary Motor applied.

Spherical Geneva mechanism is a type of intermittent motion mechanism. It translates a continuous rotation into intermittent rotary motion. The driver and the driven wheels are on perpendicular shafts. The rotating drive wheel has a pin that reaches into a slot of the driven wheel. The driven wheel also has a raised circular blocking disc that locks the driven wheel in position between steps. Generally, this mechanism is used in assembly machines.
