The Schumann Resonance, also a Theta frequency to induce relaxation, refers to the natural electromagnetic frequencies that occur in the Earth's atmosphere. These resonances are generated by lightning strikes and other electrical discharges, creating a series of low-frequency standing waves that oscillate primarily at a frequency of 7.83 Hz, among others. The Schumann Resonance is often referred to as the Earth's "heartbeat" and is believed to have various effects on human consciousness and health. When used in binaural audio tracks, these frequencies can help to synchronize brainwaves, promoting relaxation and a sense of well-being through it's grounding effects.
