Gavel and Block

Three turnings for a project, gavel and block!
Hi my friends! In this video I prepare a gavel made out of two pieces of maple, one for the handle another for the head, and the handle goes threaded inside the head. I also make the block were the gavel hits with another piece of hard maple. I stain everything of a black cherry color and finish it with satin polyurethane.
